The main hotel block is 10/25 to 10/29 for conference attendees.  The shoulder dates of 10/24 and 10/30 are primarily for conference organizers.  If you are going on the Post-Conference Tour, then you will check out of the Marriott on Sunday, 10/29 (AM)

Superior rooms are listed for 2 Twin beds are actually Double beds.  Superior Rooms are the only room option that allow for rollaway requests (50 JOD per day additional)

Arrival Information

The Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) is located about 40 miles E of the Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa (1 hour drive) and 22 miles SSE of Amman (30 minute drive).   

Nonstop flights from North America will be about 11-13 hours.  You will want to arrive early in Jordan and give yourself time to relax and acclimate after the long flight.  Arrive early and give yourself time to enjoy the Dead Sea before touring across Jordan after the conference.

Upon arrival, you'll collect your luggage and clear customs.  If you did not have to pre-arrange your visa, then you'll purchase your visa at the Amman Airport.  Once your paperwork is in order and you have your luggage, you may want to consider stopping by an ATM in the airport to get some Jordanian Dinars (JD).  We expect that many 99s may arrive on the same flights into Amman, and we will try to arrange a spot to meet to pickup your ground transportation.  You will be able to reserve a shuttle/car for transportation to the Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa (details and pricing to follow later, once we can verify everyone's flight information).  

 

Departure Information

For your departure flights, the Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Oasis Hotel is located approximately 207 miles S of the Queen Alia International Airport (4 hours drive).  Transportation will be provided from Aqaba to Amman for members and guests to regroup and catch their return flights home. 

For those spending an extra day or more in Amman, we have negotiated group rates at the Grand Hyatt Amman for 116 JOD per night, plus tax.  AKA Travel Team will make reservations for these rooms, based on your departure flight information.  The hotel is located in an area with many shops and restaurants nearby.  Depending on your flight times, a few may choose to simply have dinner in Amman and catch a ride to the airport for that "red eye" flight home.  The Amman Airport is approximately 30 minutes from the Grand Hyatt Amman.

AKA Travel Team will request flight information for all attendees, in order to provide accurate pricing for shared transportation from the Amman Airport to the Dead Sea Marriott.  Pricing is based on number of passengers arriving on the same flights.
